This message is primarily directed to those who have a sign needing to be replaced on North Mt. Juliet Road or to those who know someone who needs to replace their sign due to the recent expansion of the road. With the completion, it is now time to start the process of getting our permanent signs back in place.
There are lots of issues to sort through and several key factors involved; “was your sign grandfathered in, was your sign removed due to construction condemnation or for the purposes of right of way easements? Is the sign you had prior to construction still suitable for use or does it need to be replaced? Do you need to erect a conforming sign or can you still be permitted for a non-conforming sign?
We may need to start with simply getting a permit to get going. If you are already working thru the process and all is going well, that’s great. If you simply don’t know where to start or need to know who to call; start with giving me a buzz if I can help. I’m happy to share with you what I know and who to call. If I can save you a few steps and get you to the right person quicker I’m happy to do so. Feel free to give me a buzz or stop by.
I realize it can seem a bit overwhelming and sometimes it is difficult to even know where to start. One thing to know on the front end; if you are a tenant it is very likely that you will need to get your landlord or property owner involved. City officials are required to speak to the actual property owners or to their designated representatives in most cases. If you have been waiting on the construction to be completed before you tackled this issue; let’s get started together. I’m happy to help in any way I can.
